Tour program:

  • Wenceslas Square - a venue of the most important events in the live of the Czech nation. The square was founded in 14th century initially as a horse market and in 1848 it was renamed in honour of St. Wenceslas - patron of Czech land - whose monumental bronze statue is in front of The National Museum.
  • On the Moat - the main shopping street. Some very interesting buildings and shops are here.
  • Municipal House - Art Nouveau - This Prague's most important Art Nouveau building is situated at the site of the former Royal Court Palace, the seat of the kings in 1383-1485. Designed by Czech architects Antonin Balsanek and Oswald Polivka 1905-1911.
  • Powder Tower - The Gothic Gate was built by King Vladislav Jagellion in the 15th century. The gate acquired its present-day name in the 17th century when it was used to store gunpowder.
  • Old Town Square - with its astonishing and world famous Astronomical Clock - the main attraction is the hourly procession the twelve Apostles in two open windows. Ungelt / Kinsky Palace / The house At the Stone Bell - the most valuable gothic house in the city - built in 1338 / Church of St. Nicholas / Church Of Our Lady Before Tyn.
  • Charles Bridge - This 520 meters long sandstone bridge was built on order by Charles IV after 1357 . The construction was lead by Peter Parler. The bridge is lined with 30 statues, the first of them being of John of Nepomuk from 1683. The Gothic Old Town Bridge Tower is one of the most striking constructions of this kind in the world. To see the Charles Bridge is sipmly a must for every visitor!
